Fly 5k 8th Inter-Club Competition, 28th November 2020

Congratulations to Havering AC claiming first place for the second consecutive inter-club competition, followed by St Albans AC in 2nd and Cornwall AC in 3rd.

Well done to all clubs who had qualifying teams and fought hard to secure their place on the league table. It’s great to see the athlete participation rates increasing across all participating clubs including unattached runners who participate as their own virtual team and took an impressive 8th spot.

Results were based on a minimum of five runners to qualify (at least one male and one female runner). Each club got a score which was the total of the gender finish position of the first male runner over the line, the gender position of the first female over the line, and 3 times the average gender finish position of all the other runners. Lowest score wins!

Below is the full league table and a full breakdown of the results and scores:

1 Havering AC

2 St Albans AC

3 Cornwall AC

4 Dartford Harriers AC

5 Chiltern Harriers

6 Edmonton Running Club

7 North Herts Road Runners

8 Unattached

9 Harpenden Arrows

10 St Albans Striders

11 Wheathampstead Warriors

12 Run Redbourn!

13 Fairlands Valley Spartans

Dear Fly 5kers, It is with a heavy heart but with very fond memories and lots of new found friends, that today we announce that Fly 5k, the weekly event as we know it, will be coming to a close at our

The hungover Fly 5k after the hosts night out! We enjoyed a beer (or two) and cracked open a really horrible old bottle of Cava, which I blame for the submission form problem! Thanks for all your pati
