Fly 5k Inter-Club Competition, 11th July 2020

This week we had our second inter club competition, based on the Fly 5k Event #6 times. Clubs had to have at least four runners represented to be eligible for the men's competiton, and at least four runners for the women's competition.

Club positions were decided by the total race time as follows:

1 x the race time of the fastest finisher

PLUS

3 x the average race time of all other club members

Minimum total time wins.

And our medal winners were:

Women's competition

  1. St Albans AC (4830)

  2. Dacorum & Tring AC (5067)

  3. Chiltern Harriers (5406)

Men's competition:

  1. Dunstable Road Runners (4072)

  2. St Albans AC (4543)

  3. St Albans Striders (5123)

Full results and scores are available via our Facebook group. Well done to all the clubs that managed to field teams, and to Dunstable Road Runners and St Albans AC for respectively taking the men's and women's first place.

The rules may evolve as the group grows, but the fun remains the same!
