Results from Event #35, 16th January 2021

Well done to all of today's runners, many of whom braved harsher conditions than normal. This included the Flurry from Surrey, the wading of puddles, ponds or lakes, frozen backsides, Canadian ice balls and dirty Vinnie Jones tackling.

This made the the total of 225 runners particularly impressive, especially when some of the more frequently used phrases involved "staying in bed".

Of the 225, we saw 18 PB's and 15 first timers. We had representations from 44 different running clubs, 4 of which are new additions to the Fly family:

Carn Runners

City of Plymouth Athletic Club

Dereham Runners

Your Town Runners

We also have a number of milestones, a big well done and virtual high 5 to the following:

30 Fly 5ks

Roger SANT

Patrick SMEARS

20 Fly 5ks

Hannah CLARK

Patricia GODFREY

10 Fly 5ks

Julie-Anne MOORS

Maybe it's because I've been out of the running game myself now for a little while, but when Dani's post came asking for people to submit three words that summed up Fly 5k for them, the word "running"

Dear Fly 5kers, It is with a heavy heart but with very fond memories and lots of new found friends, that today we announce that Fly 5k, the weekly event as we know it, will be coming to a close at our

The hungover Fly 5k after the hosts night out! We enjoyed a beer (or two) and cracked open a really horrible old bottle of Cava, which I blame for the submission form problem! Thanks for all your pati
