Results from Event #48, 17th April 2021

A milestone weekend for Fly 5K! Read more below…


Fly 5k event #48 was met by beautiful blue sky and sunny cool conditions – at least in many parts of the UK – making it near perfect for running/jogging/walking.


258 athletes recorded results today including 6 athletes new to Fly 5K today and representing 57 running clubs and teams – a warm Fly 5K welcome to you all.

So many great results and so many great photos were shared on our Facebook feed providing just the inspiration some of us needed to get outdoors, and so many positive and supportive comments. What a fantastic community this is.

Well done to each and everyone of you on your own personal Fly 5K challenge today be that the many of us forced to walk our Fly 5K due to injury, those doing Fly 5K as part of longer runs and real races, a few who still got out there for their Fly 5K despite a first visit to a pub on Friday and the many who simply enjoyed their Fly 5K in fabulous conditions.

So why was it a milestone weekend for Fly 5K?


Congratulations to GIllian Onley of Cornwall AC who became our 10,000th athlete to record a Fly 5K result. The maths is easy: that’s 50,000 km covered by our Fly 5K community which is enough to get you a long way!


Well done to Graham Smith firstly just for Fly 5K itself, but today for fast and efficient results processing.
